Product Specification
Ferro Silicon
Ferro silicon is an alloy of iron and silicon produced by smelting coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) in a submerged arc furnace. It is one of the most widely used ferroalloys in the steelmaking and foundry industries, valued for its deoxidizing and alloying properties. Fenghua supplies FeSi in various grades and sizes to meet diverse industrial requirements.
Applications
- Deoxidizer and alloying agent in steelmaking
- Inoculant and nodulizer in the cast iron industry
- Reducing agent in the production of other ferroalloys
- Suspension agent in mineral processing (heavy media separation)
- Coating material in welding electrode manufacturing
- Production of silicone chemicals
